News : Uber Freight has partnered with @TSLA to introduce a Semi truck acceleartor program.

“This first-of-its-kind buyer’s program is designed to make electric freight more affordable and accessible by addressing key adoption barriers.

This new program provides fleets with a subsidized entry point into electrification. Here’s how the program works:

- Subsidized Price : Fleets purchasing Tesla Semis through this program will receive a subsidy on the purchase price.

- Tesla Insights : Participating fleets can schedule dedicated sessions with Tesla to review technical details and total cost of ownership assumptions specific to the fleets’ operational profile. With reduced pricing, fleetss will start seeing savings form avoided diesel fuel and reduced maintenance costs form day one.

 

News : Nissan is closing its design centers in California and Sao Paulo and scaling back operations in London and Japan, the company announced today.

 

News : Waymo has announced that they have reeived approval to begin operations at San Francisco International Airport.

The permit allows Waymo to access portions of the airport to test and pilot autonomous vehicle operations on designated roads and property and will be rolled out in three phases. Phases include :

- P 1. : Testing autonomous vehicles in autonomous mode with a trained specialist behind the wheel.

- P 2 : Testing passenger service in fully autonomous mode with Waymo employees and designated airport staff as passengers.

- P 3 : Piloting commercial operations of paid-for-hire autonomous services for Waymo customers.
